The year 2022 was a very momentous year for the staff of Nigeria Cleaning Service Limited despite the many challenges that was faced during the year; it ended on a favorable note.

To mark the year coming to its end, there was a get-together organized by the company to celebrate some of its most outstanding site supervisors. The event also doubled as a town-hall meeting between the hundreds of staff from different locations and the members of management at the head office. Invitations were sent out to all the company’s site supervisors and manager in Lagos locations and environs, and they heeded the call.

The event started off by having the oldest employee of the company Pa Segun Ogedegbe lead the crowd in a solemn prayer. Afterwards, two brief sessions were conducted by some head office managers as a form of refresher training and reminders. Mr Lawal, the Business Development Manager spoke on the topic of Emotional Intelligence during which he emphasized the need for the site supervisors to show maturity and tact in dealing with the cleaners that are under their jurisdiction. In the same vein, the External Works Manager, Mrs Anaba Imeh discussed matters associated with Material request, usage and proper Management of resources.

Also in attendance was the CEO of NCS, Mrs Marion S. Johnson who shared some nuggets, instructions and words of appreciation and encouragement to all members of staff both at the several locations and those in the head office. “Mama”, as she’s fondly referred to, reminded the staff at the head office to always consider the location supervisors and the cleaners as the most important persons in NCS because they are the ones actually doing the core work that produce revenue for the company. Without the cleaners, the office staff would not matter.

Subsequently, the CEO’s son, Mr Dayo Johnson who is an executive director mentioned some of the plans being put in place to further expand the company’s services and also improve the welfare of the staff.

It was all fun, food, merriment and dance afterwards as the supervisors reconnected with one another; and deejay was on standby supplying great music.
